Founding Story & Commitment to Doing It Properly
Coolvane started because our founder got tired of watching bigger contractors rush jobs, quote low then add extras, and send a different face out every time. Air conditioning work is fiddly and it's easy to cut corners that nobody notices until months later, so the idea was simple: quote it properly, send the same engineer, and stand behind the work afterwards.
We buy our copper and refrigerant direct from UK wholesalers rather than through middlemen, which keeps quality consistent from job to job. Every install and repair gets pressure and airflow tested before the engineer leaves, and we keep a record of what refrigerant went in and what was replaced.
Pricing is agreed in writing before any work starts, and payment is only taken once the job is finished and you're happy with it, by cash or bank transfer. No deposits, no hidden call-out fees, and a named engineer you can actually get hold of afterwards if something needs a second look.
Before I sign off any job I run the pressure and airflow checks myself, that's the only way I'll put my name to it.

We started Coolvane because too many people were left with vague quotes and engineers who never showed twice. Every job we take on gets a fixed price, a named engineer, and work you're free to check for yourself.
